Brubeck at the Boisdale

Simon's tribute band to Brubeck will be performing at the Boisdale in Canary Wharf - featuring Harry The Piano, Pete Cater (drums) & Dominic Howles (bass).

A stunning recreation of the legendary Dave Brubeck Quartet of the 50s & 60s by an all-star band.  Take Five,Blue Rondo a la Turk,Everybody’s Jumpin’,Pick Up Sticks,Unsquare Dance...tunes that are heard as often today as they were back then, perhaps even more so. Everything is played in the style of the classic Brubeck Quartet and the evening’s repertoire is drawn from the period 1951 to 1968, covering albums such as theJazz Goes To Collegeseries,Time Out,Time Further Out andTime In. 

Interspersed with anecdotes about the life and experiences of the quartet, including fascinating insights into the creation of the music, the evening comprises two sets which show the virtuosity of the individual members to perfection & recall the heady days of the much-loved DBQ.
