Singapore Grand Prix
24th September 2011
'The loudest noise I have ever heard!'...no that wasn't the band, it was the F1 car engines starting at the beginning of the race!
Simon had an fabulous few days in Singapore when he was entertaining the crowds with Rick Astley.
For the race itself, we were seated on row 2 of the pit grandstand, on the start/finish line just opposite the Red Bull garage and the podium.

"It was champagne and police escorts all the way. Singapore really knows how to throw a party! Rick and the band warmed the crowd up on Saturday for qualifying and then on Sunday in the F1 village for the race itself. The crowd was really up for it and it was a fantastic festival atmosphere.

For the race itself, we were seated on row 2 of the pit grandstand, on the start/finish line just opposite the Red Bull garage and the podium. Arriving just in time for the engines igniting, I didn't have time to get my earplugs in and the noise was incredible. The cars were just a blur as they zoomed past and the speed of the mechanics in the pit lanes was unbelievable.
The excitement mounted as we waited to see who came over the finish line first and being close enough to see the relief on drivers faces when they were on the podium was amazing."

I want to Dance with you - listen out for Simon's solo at around 2 minutes!
At one point Eddie Jordan joined them on stage and played the drums!
